About Jared Stern
Jared Stern is the writer, director and producer behind some of the longest-cooking projects in Hollywood. His TV show, "Green Eggs and Ham," which was adapted from the beloved children's book, premieres on Netflix this fall after more than four years in production. Before building season arcs around off-color breakfast foods, Jared got his start as an in-house writer at Walt Disney Animation Studios, where he worked on films including "The Princess and the Frog," "Wreck It Ralph" and "Toy Story 3."
He went on to work as part of Warner Animation Group's "think tank" in 2013 where he's served as a creative consultant on the LEGO franchise and executive produced films including "Smallfoot" and "Storks." Jared penned "The Lego Batman Movie" starring Will Arnett and Michael Cera, and is currently writing and directing a film about pets with superpowers set in the DC Universe which hits theaters in 2022. Jared wrote and directed the romantic comedy "Happy Anniversary" for Netflix in 2018, and was a producer on "It Happened In LA" which premiered at Sundance the year before. Other screenwriting credits include "Mr. Popper's Penguins" starring Jim Carrey ,and Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson's "The Internship," which unsurprisingly indexes very well on Google. In April 2016 Jared's production company A Stern Talking To signed an exclusive overall deal with Warner Brothers Television to develop new and exciting series for broadcast, cable and streaming. A proud Long Island native, Jared graduated from Brown University with a (deeply practical) degree in Modern Culture and Media. He lives in LA with filmmaker Michelle Morgan and their Boston Terrier Sir Rodger who gives very good forehead kisses.
